FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Only one in three Americans is expected to take a trip over the Thanksgiving weekend, according to a study that assessed holiday travel plans.
GasBuddy said its annual survey found that most people are heeding the advice of health and government officials and staying home.
About 35 percent plan to travel, it reported.

The decision to wave off long-distance drives comes despite some of the lowest gasoline prices in years.
The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.17, and the GasBuddy website shows the average price in Fort Wayne around $1.97 per gallon.
That's a drop from $2.50 this time last year.
"Gasoline demand has continued to struggle as the coronavirus has kept Americans in their homes and keys out of their cars, working and e-learning from home," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
He noted a slight uptick in recent days as positive vaccine news suggested that vehicle use will rise in the near future.
