0825 ET – Natural gas futures are sharply lower as forecasts suggest warmer-than-normal weather could extend through December. “The weekend data failed to trend any colder with the setup through Dec. 26 suggesting warmer than normal temperatures and lighter than normal demand will continue through the end of the month,” NatGasWeather.com says in a report. “We continue to wait for the frigid cold pool over the high latitudes to release and spread southward into the northern U.S.” Natural gas for January delivery is down 20 cents or 7.6% at $2.384/mmBtu.
