Crews reported to the 2100 block of Road E and Road 210 three miles west of Emporia shortly before 2 pm after a report of a "large white cloud" near a Southern Star pump station. According to Lyon County Undersheriff John Koelsch, a technician reported a possible issue which led to an evacuation in the area as Southern Star crews addressed the issue.
It is unclear how large the reported evacuation was, however, no injuries were reported. KVOE has reached out to Southern Power for more information.
