BRIDGEPORT — Authorities responded to a reported gas line rupture on Alba Avenue, according Scott Appleby.
In an email Sunday evening, the director of the city’s emergency communications department said the Bridgeport Fire Department were sent to the area after a resident there had reported a gas leak caused by a mailbox installation.
“There is a confirmed gas leak with gas continually flowing from the pipe in front of this location,” Appleby said, adding the utility company had been alerted.
