Citgo Petroleum on Wednesday reported flaring of gases at its oil refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
"Operating conditions at CITGO East Plant have made flaring necessary," the refinery said in a text message sent by way of the city's Community Alert Line. "No action by the community is required at this time."
The 167,000-barrel-a-day capacity refinery has eastern and western plants near each other that together make up the Citgo Corpus Christi refinery.
